Prof. Rajakumar Balla, FRSC, FNASc, specializes in gas phase physical chemistry and atmospheric chemistry. He earned his Ph.D.in 2002 from IISc and pursued postdoctoral research at NOAA, USA. Currently, he is a Professor at IIT Madras with extensive contributions to atmospheric science.

Anubhab did his B.Tech in Civil Engineering from IIT (BHU), Varanasi, India in 2006 and PhD in Engineering Mechanics from JNCASR, Bangalore, India in 2012.
DR. Chandan Sarngi

Completed his Post Doctorate Research from the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), Richland, WA, USA, and Integrated Ph.D. from IIT Kanpur, India.

Dr. Anindita Sahoo primary research interests are in Linguistic Typology, Syntax and Pragmatics.

Climate Change

Climate change refers to long-term shifts in temperatures and weather patterns. Human activities have been the main driver of climate change, primarily due to the burning of fossil fuels like coal, oil and gas.

The research activities of the Centre have been oriented towards achieving fundamental understanding of the various atmospheric and climatic processes which have immense relevance to society.
